Default Boots?

My ALO emailed me after I got my appointment, and said that he normally takes those who get in to a local Air Force base to go pick up boots. I was wondering what boots we are supposed to get, I don't want to get the wrong ones.

If your ALO takes you, I'm sure he/she'll tell you the right boots to get. No worries

That's actually been the rule since the class of 2011. I'm glad I didn't have to get 2 pairs! :)

You might as well think beyond 2 pairs. The old Midas commercial. Pay me now or pay me later. My son used boots in Jack's Valley during BCT. They were totally useless after that. His 2nd pair, he said is almost to the point of needing a new pair. So, the only advantage to getting boots ahead of time is ensuring they fit well.

Well, I had one pair that worked fine, no problems all of BCT. My second pair I got in March of 2007 are the Corcorans which have leather luster on the toe, so I haven't shined those since last March! ;) Not so worried about shining and both sets of boots are in good shape!

Hey I have a pair of ACU tan boots, and I hear that we might be able to use those instead of the puke grean ones. True or False?
