We have another bottle of Johnny Walker Blue waiting for the special label when he becomes an AC. Time is going by at warp speed!
THAT is what its all about!

Congratulations on your son's progress. Flying airplanes in the Air Force (or actually any of the Armed Forces) is a lot of fun no matter what the type. It is almost impossible to convey to the public the amazing the amount of responsibility that is placed on our junior officers as Aircraft Commanders. You have every right to be proud! Looking back, my worst days flying are better than my best days now! Tell him to enjoy it as long as he can!

Cheers

A lot of that will depend on your worst day flying!

The common wisdom is that once you're the PC (or AC in the Air Force) you can finally really start learning. Once the safety net is gone, and it's just you on the decision/blame line, the real growth begins.
