Does anyone know what the most competitive/least competitive states and districts are for appointments?

Check this website out: http://www.westpointcadets.org/USMA/Map.htm
It lists cadets from each state and their locations. You can find out what people from your area do. States with many cadets are obviously more competitive. If you are curious how competitive your district is, just email one of cadets from your area which the website has email addresses of. |

Informative website AVT - thanks for the info!
Edited to add that I searched and determined there is not a current cadet from our district at WP at all! Pretty depressing overall! Closest one seems to be from about 1.5 hours away (which is a different congressional district). Wow. Last edited by marciemi; 3rd January 2010 at 05:06 PM. |

That was very interesting. Do you know if the other academies have websites to obtain the same info.?

I could not find other websites. I found this site because my congressional district coordinator, Col Bob Totten, is its webmaster.
Marciemi, not all cadets are listed on the website, for the cadets provide the information themselves. |

If one were to go completely by this information, a candidate might assume that our district has no current cadets when in fact we have ten (only 5 charged to our MOC - others charged elsewhere). I did not know that the data is provided by the cadets themselves, that's interesting and explains why some are not listed.

Yeah there were no 2013 cadets at all for North Carolina, seems like the list is somewhat incomplete
