Default Physical Aptitude

I want to start my preparation on the PAT now so I can get a high score when the time comes. Does anybody know what is on the test and how many to do of each item to get a maximum points?

thanks

Captain, are you talking about the PAT that an EMT would take? In knowing what PAT your asking about will help us answer your question.

The academies now require the CFA. I think ROTC still does the PAT. Not sure.

Here it is:

Somewhere on this site are the USNA candidate average scores also. If you cannot find them, I will attempt it later when I have the time.

The real question is why would someone so quick to cast disparaging remarks at Navy football only a few days ago, come to the USNA forum when they need factual answers??

The CFA requirements for "Club Air Force" are probably a lot less.

The Coast Guard requites the PFE - pushups, situps and a longer run. All other academies use the CFA.

AROTC - requires part of the Presidential Challenge Physical Fitness Test - pushups, situps and 1.5 mile run.

Don't know if AFROTC or NROTC have a fitness requirement...

Default Physical Fitness Test for AFROTC

The physical fitness exam for the AFROTC must be the same as the one used for AROTC. It consists of pushups, situps and a 1.5 mile run.

CGA's is a little harder in that the pushups are done on cadence, making you hold in each position a little longer

The AROTC PT test is the same as the Army PT Test, which requires you to run a 2 mile in under 15:54; I know because I've had to do the stupid thing all semester...it's annoying.

The Marine Corps ROTC requires a fitness test that includes pull-ups, curl-ups (sit ups in which you cross your arms against your chest and your elbows must touch your legs in order for it to be counted), and a 3-mile run. The MROTC PT test score is only used as a deciding factor if there are two equally matched candidates seeking a scholarship.
