DS got Appointment to USMAPS today. Does this mean he will not have name forwarded to Cadet Command on QNS list for ROTC consideration? I mean he was selected for USMAPS so I guess his name should not be on list right?

Congratulations on his USMAPS offer!! This is an exciting opportunity for your son!

I have not heard that the Army is offering FQNS candidates a ROTC scholarship this year. If they were I would say he would not be offered one since they made him an offer at USMAPS. Generally, FQ candidates are not offered USMAPS anyway. Did your son receive a letter indicating he was fully qualified and eligible to compete for an appointment?

That was the funny thing we did not expect the MAPS thing because we were told by his RD that he was academically qualified and was not eligible for MAPS and went so far as to say he would not be selected for it. We know he was Physically qual'd he maxed or came close to maxing out every exercise and we know he was medically qual'ed or we would not be having this conversation. So I am stumped but Happy he has so many choices.
