Received letter of NAPS selection. Have two questions :

1 - In upper right corner, below my USNA file number, there is an alpha-numeric code (DA-#). What does that mean ?

2 - First paragraph, third sentence reads :
"If you choose to accept .....join the Class of 2014 @ the Naval Academy."
Is this a type ?
Should the letter state :
"......join the Class of 2015 at the Naval Academy."

Thanks. Thought we would try the forum first before calling admissions...

If you're graduating high school in 2010 and you go to NAPS then you will be joining the class of 2015 at the Naval Academy.

NAPS vs. FOUNDATION

Does anyone know the report dates for Foundation Prep Schools?

you'll join them, you'll just be a year behind them....

Congratulations!!! Don't worry, my daughter received the same letter as you did last January. A few days later, an official certificate in a blue folder arrived. There will be a letter attached to it that states the year, "Class of 2015."

You are correct. DS's arrived today with background check paperwork and request for proof of citizenship documentation.

FB Group?

I heard some time before that there was a Facebook group being started for 2010 NAPS appointees; anyone wish to shed any light on it?

I have seen the facebook group but it is a private group for some reason. Anyway last I saw there were somewhwere in the area of 20 members but since it is private that is all the information I have.

I know there are two face book pages for NAPS, one for the M/C appointees, and one for the parents. They shouldn't be difficult to find. I think they're private because one needs an appointment to join the group, or a parent of an appointee to joint the parents group.
