I was wondering if I should just have more patience or if I should be more concerned.

Nov. 18 was the day USNA received the last part of my application package. I havnt heard one word ever since CIS changed and said they received so and so on Nov 18. With it now April, should I email my BGO and ask him if he can look at my admission status on his website or just keep waiting. Does the time you finished your application have any impact on when your file got revieved because if i havnt heard anything and i finished in november, i wonder when the guys who finished it in january would hear.

I submitted mine in january and called admission yesterday and they said no decision has been made. I am wondering if they still hand out appointments this late and close to the deadline?? All the best.....

My son's application was completed at the end of September. Patience is the word of the day, uh ur, month!

First: you will know about your offer of appointment before your BGO except in very, very unusual circumstances. You might try checking with the source of your nomination (s). Second: Admissions' goal is to notify all candidates on or about April 15 of their status going forward; ie, whether the candidate is considered still to be in the running for an offer of appointment. Honestly, folks, this suspense will continue for another couple of months, maybe longer. No kidding! Selection for offers is a very serious, deliberate process, and rightfully so - these are very high value scholarships, and those who complete the course of instruction will be commissioned in the Navy or Marine Corps and put in charge of some very expensive and dangerous equipment as well as an even more precious commodity: other young people. You can spin it all you want, but those are the facts. Best wishes to all of you who still are waiting - I got my offer in mid-May about 50 years ago, and once I got it, I ceased to be concerned about how long it took.

I look at it this way: I haven't got a TWE yet, so that must mean up until this point, I'm still in the running. It helps me get through the wait to look at the positive side rather than just wanting a decision made now.

We were told that we would hear by April 15th. That's when the Admissions Office said that we would be informed. I don't know if that's everyone though!

Oh, these words are so important. For those how have applied, and those who accept the offer. You must realize the commitment you are making.

Good luck to all, and remember the calling.

The wait is over. Got the TWE today. After 2 years of asking questions on this forum, I want to thank all you guys for the awesome answers. Although Im not in a bad mood because plan B is now secured and Im going to be a bulldog for the next four years. Hooya Citadel

Sorry about the TWE, however your attitude is awesome and right on. Embrace the future and don't look back. The Citadel is lucky to have to you as a cadet and student. Enjoy the winter weather!
