Hagenbeck to retire

every 4 years and it is by law a Terminal assignment so when a General comes to one of the DoD Service Academies as the Superintendant- it is automatically the last assignment they will have. This is not the case at USMMA where they are GS employees of the Maritime Administration- I think it's true of USCGA- but I'm not certain of that and I'm not gonna go look it up:wink:

Do we know who will replace Hagenbeck?

At PPW (March 15) Brig Gen Rapp mentioned that the Supe and Dean were both leaving and that he would soon be the old-timer of the bunch, having been in place as the Commandant since Nov 2009! At that time he did not have any names for the replacements.

I heard unofficially from a reliable source that the next Dean is one of the Academic Department Heads already on post and the decision should be coming out soon. I was able to hear BG Rapp speak this week at MALO training and am quite proud of my former First Captain from my Yearling year!

I always thought that was the normal procedure...the BG Finnegan was head of the law department. I could be wrong though.

Opps, never mind...
