Here is where we stand. No phone calls, no letters and no envelopes. All the close friends my son made at SS have been declined. Some got their letters a week ago and one got his letter yesterday. One local friend got wait listed 4 days ago. Has anyone got accepted lately? How does NAPS acceptance work? This waiting is the pits!!!

bugsmom: Did you get a letter saying your son was scholastically qualified? If so, I believe NAPS is off the table.

You should be hearing something soon. Other posters report that "the letters are in the mail...."

Waiting

No news here either. We will wait until 4.15 Admissions must be so very busy. Best of luck to all those still waiting.

Hi.. my son never received anything in the mail. Still waiting.
Did most of you receive a letter saying if he/she was scholastically qualified? He has received nothing since his nomination back in January.
Thanks

I have heard that the kids will get a phone call from their Senator/Congressman. I have also heard they will find out via a package in the mail. Which is correct or are they both correct? We almost tackled the mail lady today when she made our delivery. Still waiting.

YES

Yes to both...some of them do and some of them don't...the only important thing is the BFE via the MAIL and nothing else...the MOC call is just gravy or the cherry topping, or the icing on the cake, or the ...you get the picture...now run after that mail carrier and tackle her...have your future MID help you pin him/her down and then help dust off their uniform afterwards...:shake::yllol::cool:

GO NAVY! :tomcat:

Both can be correct. The MOC is usually given the chance to notify the appointee. Some don't make the call. All appointees will get a big blue folder with appointment letter.

Not sure if this helps at all but i got a letter on 4/9 declining me for admission... which i knew was going to happen because I didn't receive a nomination to USNA
(however i did for USMA and received an appointment there...).

Never received a phone call from the MOC. As a matter of fact, the letter of nomination came regular mail at about noon and the appointment package from USNA came express mail later that afternoon.
