Has anyone recieved their accepttance yet? I applied about a month ago and I was wondering if I was the only one still waiting. Thanks.

still waiting...

My DD submitted at the beginning of April and is still waiting. She is a upcoming Junior at an IB school in Florida, strong resume with sports, EC and academics all covered.

Nope - son applied as soon as it opened in early Feb. No news yet. Like bikndave's daughter, he's a very strong candidate (34 ACT as an 8th grader!) that I can't believe wouldn't get in (plus we're from an underrepresented area  ), so I'm just guessing they haven't gone out yet.

Marciemi - I think you hit the nail on the head: representation! I live near CentCom at MacDill AFB in Tampa, loads of military kids all over the place. DD may be one of the top 1% applying but it will not matter if the demographics don't work. At least she is learning that she has to give 100% to everything to have a foot in the door. That's all I can ask for...:thumb:

Good luck to yours.

The website said STEM acceptances/rejections will be mailed out May 1...can't wait.

Where did you see that? All I can find says all applicants will be notified of their status BY May 1, so I guess I was hoping earlier!

when i submitted my app i noticed the dead door words: admissions on rolling basis.

I submitted mine on the last night. On the flip side, I am in SC district 6, top 10 under represented area. so lets see what hold for me....................

My son received a "TWE" from the Navy today.....my heart just sunk:eek: (he applied to STEM).....but it was a good thing....

He was accepted to the STEM program!!! He is soooooo excited!!:shake:

Good Luck to everyone!!

Son got his acceptance today to session 2! :thumb: Now if I could only find a flight that will get him there. No direct flights between 6am and 5pm and I have NO confidence in his changing planes on his own. Guess we may drive the 2 hours to Milwaukee the night before and have him catch the 6am flight and hang out for 3 hours in the Baltimore airport when he gets there too early!

SAMom - maybe my son will see yours there! Anyone have any idea of how many kids there are per session? Fun part is that my freshman will overlap with his brother's NASS by three days so they can say hi! His brother's flights were no problem - guess they have different schedules during the week and weekends.

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just got TWE, in a bad way:(. But its ok, I guess I should try again really early next year, might help my chances. I also think part of the reason I didnt get in was because I apllied pretty late and live in a very navy polpulated area(Hampton Roads). Got my sights set on next year, then NASS.

My son got his TWE yesterday. He was surprised and very exited he made it. VBButler - I think you are correct about your location playing a role in not getting accepted. I'm confident that geographically being from Arkansas helped my son a lot. He applied early so maybe that helped also.
