So...admissions packets were sent out and I have a couple of questions, and since the office is closed today, I thought I could get some answers.

I looked through the admissions pamphlet and there was a picture of a form titled "Employers Evaluation of Candidate". I looked through my forms, and no such form is there...mistake or do they not do it anymore?

Secondly, I received 2 sets of the same forms....is that normal?

Lastly, the CFA form lists the following people that can test you..MALO, Commissioned Army Officer, P.E. Teacher. My varsity lacrosse coach agreed to test me for the Naval Academy's CFA. Can I send them the scores from that one, or does USMA not allow a varsity coach to test.

They may have sent duplicate forms in case you make a mistake you have another copy to use.

Check with admissions regarding having your coach administer your CFA. My son was involved in a PT program run by a local Army recruiter and asked admissions if he could administer the CFA. Admissions said yes.

Can't answer your question about the employer's evaluation - sorry. Looks like another question for admissions on Tuesday.

Good luck!

My son's varsity coach administered the CFA for his USMA application last year. Of course, the fellow is a P.E. teacher too.

I remember last year some kids had missing forms - if you are missing the employer's evaluation just call admissions and they will send it to you.
Last year they wanted it if you worked over 9 hours a week during the school year.

My daughter's guidance counselor arranged for her CFA with her Fitness (Phys Ed) teacher at school. I don't think they want a coach because they are looking for a disinterested third party to test. You get a more accurate test that way. This is NOT to say that a Varsity coach would in any way shape or form pad the scores.
There have been studied done on hand timing and the a person's coach almost always produced a faster time than a third party - it is an unconcious bias.
Don't worry about who gives you the test - just do your best.

Employer's eval

It is in the green Admissions Handbook on one of the glossy pages (not a loose paper form like the rest of them). I believe it is two pages before the yellow postcards.
