air force reserves

I am sure it is the CG that has the bulk of the responsibility, but I saw on the news that the Army NG is in Alabama or Mississippi also working on it. I would also assume that the AF is sending out their planes to view from the sky assisting the CG planes.

The National Incident Commander is Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen. The Federal Onscene Coordinator is Coast Guard Rear Admiral Mary Landry.

Not really into the CG anymore. I like the people and the values of the AF more

You've met all of them?

What "value" does the AF posses that is lacking in the Coast Guard?

You seem to have your mind made up, you seem to disagree with every piece of advice given to you in this thread, so why ask for advice when you are not going to heed it?

My advice about the AFR, make the phone call for the numbers you found. Take the initative to ask the questions you've asked but this time to a recruiter and understand that in the end....it's all about "needs of the service".

ive gone through 3 years at MMA i can handle the Af. I dont want the CG all the people in it are mean. Af people are the nicest people i have ever met.

I dont want the CG all the people in it are mean..

Seriously? You think that every member of the U.S. Coast Guard, from the newest Seaman Recruit to the Commandant, are all a bunch of meanies? Wow.

I guess I should put on my flame-retardant suit for the onslaught that is coming from the Coastie posters.

Coming from someone who spent some time as an active duty USAF officer, I hate to tell you that we have some meanies too. It's not all puppy dogs and ice cream when you "cross into the blue."
