AIM 2010

My DS attended AIM last summer. His acceptance letter was dated May 8. I hopes this helps with the "waiting game"

AIM Acceptance Letters

My son just heard that teh letters will go out the third week of May for AIM. Apparently they have lots of applications to go through. They said he might receive a letter at the end of next week, but it will probably be the following week before he finds out anything.

I was hoping we'd hear sooner because his brother was appointed to the CGA Class of 2014 and we will be at Reporting in day on June 28. If my other son gets into the AIM program, he listed July 4 as his first choice and we would plan to just stay the week until AIM starts and not have to pay for another round trip arifare. We wanted to go ahead and get our airfare, but really needed to find out about the AIM issue first.

Did it last summer, made 3 trips to New London, 3 weeks in a row. Dropped DD off for Swab Summer, drove home, then drove up next weekend with DS for AIM, 1st session. Drove home, then drove back up to pick DS up from AIM. We did "see" the Swab, in a letter home, a couple weeks later, she said, saw you guys out of the corner of my eye!

Momto3, did you son talk to someone from admission. I started to get worried yesterday so I called admission and on their voice recording, which it was old because it still had April dates for Class of 2014, it stated that response letters are going out May 21.

I hoping the letters goes out sooner. My son asked for first week as his number 1 choice too. He hoping he doesn't get the 3rd week because that is rookie week for his marching band and he is section leader. He been looking forward to push around those rookies. LOL!!!! Especially when one of them is his younger brother. LOL!!! :shake: :shake: :shake:

Sounds like your family has a good track record getting into the CGA congrats. You must be only be about 30 miles from our house. Our son has applied for AIM and hopes to hear back. He is already scheduled for the first week at the Naval Academy Summer Seminar.

AIM Acceptance

All,

Sorry for the delay in responding, but my son did get his acceptance letter for the AIM program in the mail today. He got his first choice (first week), so we'll stay in the Connecticut area after reporting in day for my other son and then drop off Eric for AIM on July 4. At least we'll save on having to get another air fare. We're in Texas, so driving to the CGA is out of the question for us. I'd like to be able to fly back up there for Eric's "graduation" from AIM, but since we would have just been there, that won't work out.

I can't believe the summer is almost here and all of these events are starting.

Heck, might as well hang around for Mystic Flag Ceremony on July 24th.

I wish I could, but I'd get fired from my job and run out of money before then!
