When will USCGA announce AIM acceptances?? Thank you to any one who replies.
My son just heard that teh letters will go out the third week of May for AIM. Apparently they have lots of applications to go through. They said he might receive a letter at the end of next week, but it will probably be the following week before he finds out anything.
I was hoping we'd hear sooner because his brother was appointed to the CGA Class of 2014 and we will be at Reporting in day on June 28. If my other son gets into the AIM program, he listed July 4 as his first choice and we would plan to just stay the week until AIM starts and not have to pay for another round trip arifare. We wanted to go ahead and get our airfare, but really needed to find out about the AIM issue first.

All,
Sorry for the delay in responding, but my son did get his acceptance letter for the AIM program in the mail today. He got his first choice (first week), so we'll stay in the Connecticut area after reporting in day for my other son and then drop off Eric for AIM on July 4. At least we'll save on having to get another air fare. We're in Texas, so driving to the CGA is out of the question for us. I'd like to be able to fly back up there for Eric's "graduation" from AIM, but since we would have just been there, that won't work out.
