My MOC's application asks for "College you are currently attending" and "College Courses Currently in Progress".

If I will be entering college in Fall 2010 and have not registered for classes yet, should I leave the "College Courses Currently in Progress" section blank? I was thinking of writing a note that says something to the effect of, "Planning to follow a USAFA fourth-class cadet's curriculum while majoring in Aerospace Engineering." Or should I just wait til the end of August to get my official schedule?

Wait. This is why you should not send in your Nomination application "too early". Wait until the fall, closer to the deadline - then you can make it the best application possible.

There is no rush for college students. USNA will not evaluate you until your first semester college grades are in, which obviously won't be until early 2011.

Also, USNA wants recommendations from your college English and math profs. Even if you're in a huge lecture class and they don't know you from Adam (or Eve), that's what USNA wants.

On top of the previous recommendations, make sure on day one at school you contact your prof informing them of your intentions.

This is now college and profs will have more than 150 students to keep track of regarding grades. You will be a rarity because not many students enter intending to leave within a yr. You need to let them know of your existence.

If you intend to do ROTC, also speak to the det. They too will be required to write a letter.

I would check in with the ALO for your area on how to work this issue if you intend to go to a college out of your MOC's area.

PM Flieger, he will be your best resource.

Who should we contact for the counselor letter of recommendation? Would the college counselor have enough knowledge of my DS to be able to write a recomendation?

DS is attending a state university with AROTC scholarship. His first choice is USNA and will reapply. Is it proper for him to ask for a letter of recommendation from Army PMS so that he can apply to Naval Academy?
