What are some of the better resturaunts in the springs to go for a great steak/farewell dinner

Steak

My son and I ate at "The Famous" in Colorado Springs. He said it was the best steak he has ever eaten. Should have been, the two of us got out for over a hundred bucks.

Saltgrass Steakhouse is a good place and Texas Roadhouse is a cadet favorite

We've tried Saltgrass and would recommend it also.

We took our son to MacKenzie's on Parents weekend - it's off Tejan St as I remember - very good but a but pricier than Saltgrass.

If you're into German food, Edelweiss is also good.

Was fortunate to have my graduation dinner at MacKenzie's Chop House. I'll add that its fantastic food (though yes, pricey). Salt Grass is good, but the ones back here in TX still do it better. :) Texas Roadhouse steaks aren't really that great, the ribs are fantastic though. If you really want to shell out the bucks, but get a top steak, some of the Broadmoor restaurants are fantastic (top line would be the Penrose Room).

I'd say the best value for the buck is Salt Grass.

Steakhouses in C-Springs

The Steaksmith on Academy Blvd..before Constitution Blvd is a good steakhouse. Locally owned.
