I think i asked this question before but can't remember the answer-sorry my mind seems to be a little crowded for some reason.
We have family members not attending i day where can they watch the ceremony what website we are from NC so of course no local station coverage.

I know that some local TV and other media outlets have video available after the event but I don't think there is any live. If you google I Day, video, Naval Academy you can find last years so this years should be available after July 1.

Here's the website that I mentioned in a new thread that I posted this AM.

www.plebesummer.com

This is the Thurston Studios site that covers all of the events. They take photos of Midshipman and seem to have everything well documented. There is a registration fee of about $40.00 but seems well worth it to see events. You can look around there and see if it will suit your needs. I emailed them and heard back quickly with some of my questions.

Every local television station will have a lengthy segment on the event. If you go to their websites - you can view them.

Also, invariably, somebody will video the swearing-in ceremony and post it on YouTube in short order.

But I'm not aware of any LIVE coverage.

The past couple of years the Naval Academy Alumni Association has had comprehensive I-Day coverage, most notably of the swearing-in ceremony, but I don't recall whether it was live or video. I believe it was available at www.usna.com.

The Pentagon Channel

I don't recall seeing the full coverage of I-Day or the swearing-in ceremony on local or cable channels, as is done with Commencement on The Pentagon Channel. Local stations will have video snippets of the obligatory haircut and the ceremony, and the Annapolis Capital, Baltimore Sun and Washington Post usually run a picture and a short article.

I checked Pentagon Channel to see if they had any special coverage that day, but didn't see it. It may well show up in "Around the Services" as a story. It's worth going to their website and typing in "Naval Academy" in the search box on the lower left, and you can view various stories from the past year.

Pentagon Channel is on our Comcast line-up here in Annapolis, I realize I don't know if it's a national cable channel on other cable carriers, though I expect so.

The first is a given.

Ditto on the second. Sorry. :frown:

Thornton Studios. The DVD was just OK and we bought some of the pictures. Down the road it will mean more.
