My son has his DoDMERB scheduled in two weeks and as fate would have it, he suffered a knee injury last weekend during a lacrosse tournament in Colorado. His doctor/MRI has confirmed an ACL tear. His doctor, one of the best in the country, is confident he will be at 100% in 6 months. My son is devastated but committed to returning to 100% and now understands that a new step has been added to his pursuit of obtaining an appointment to a SA. The question is, does he go ahead and start the DoDMERB processes now before surgery or wait until after the surgery? Six months of recovery would be Jan 2011...is that too late to start the DoDMERB process and ensuing waiver? What are our options and chances? ~Many thanks for your input! TexasHopeful & PRAYERFUL
