What are the best NROTC schools and what are the dead lines for applying to them.

thereare no "best" schools, but a few with great repuatations are Penn State, Villanova, and the Citadel.

For application deadlines, check the school sites. NROTC deadline is also on the Navy site.

The best NROTC school is the one that fits you the best. Different schools and different units have different feels and find one that you like. Penn State, Villanova, and The Citadel may be great schools but with great units but if they aren't a good fit with you then they are no good.

Can i commision in the Navy and be allowed to go to BUD/s

yes. but you still have to compete with all the other applicants who want that spot. It will we hard regardless of ur commissioning program

what do you mean by compete. are only a certain number of comissionees allowed to go to bud/s. What are the requirements. ANy sugestions for nrotc schools and advice

Jake- Do some research....at the NROTC website there will be a list of schools that offer NROTC. Print it. Figure out which schools have the field of study that you are interested in and then start narrowing down from there Remember that NROTC has tiered Majors that restrict your major selection.

Start with this master list and find the school that fits you best. Also, find a school that you can afford if you do not get selected for a scholarship. We saw many people on this forum, well qualified, who were not selected. Everyone needs a backup plan.

Great that you are starting early!
