Alright, USMA admissions finally realized that I'm actually a college student applying to USMA so they have reflected that in my candidate portal by asking for my college transcripts as well as a list of college activities. However, they have also added a button where I can add additional SOE's, even though the minimum requirement is 3 SOE's. I have 3 SOE's already: they're my math, English, and physics teacher from high school. So that should meet all the requirements (it did say minimum 3 SOE's).
Because I am a college student, however, admissions has asked me to include SOE's from my college math, English, and chemistry/physics teacher. The problem is that I have credit towards freshman English for Virginia Tech, meaning that I don't have to take freshman English because I placed out of it, thanks to my high AP Language & Comp. scores. On the other hand, by placing out of it, I don't know if this would be frowned upon by West Point because I am not only deviating away from the course load of a typical West Point plebe (or is the credit I earned from the high test scores going to reflect on my transcript?), but I would also not have a contact for an English SOE. Should I accept the credit and place myself out of English? Though, I really don't want to deny the credit because I worked hard to get the high AP score...plus that would mean I would have to pay more for my tuition and I would have to take an unnecessary class, seeing that I already placed out of it.
