Hey guys I have a question concerning medical qualification. How long does it typically take to receive notice if you are medically qualified or disqualified?

Are all your forms complete? If so, when did you send them? All of my forms were sent to DoDMERB by Concorde on July 6 and I received confirmation today stating that I am medically qualified. DoDMERB is fast with this stuff.

Oh alright...no i just started the process...

Yea, you'll have to go through all the examinations first. Your doctors will send the forms immediately after you have completed the examination. For example, I started the DoDMERB process June 14. So 3 weeks and 3 days later, I finally receive note of my status, but that's only because I scheduled my medical exam a week after my eye exam. If you scheduled the eye exam and medical exam on the same day or within close proximity within each other, I'm sure you can expect your status to go through in 2 weeks or less.

Good luck to you though.

After the eye and medical appiontments last Wednesday and Thursday, the status shows QUALIFIED today for my DS. Summertime it is probably less busy, so I'd say a week, I would think that as more people get further along in the process, it may get a bit slower.

Which page are you guys checking for your status? My optometrist didn't get his forms in until this past Tuesday (almost a week after the exam  ) So I don't really expect to see anything until probably next week. I just wanted to make sure I'm looking at the right thing.

It should be this website.

Anyone know why, if you have 3 apps waiting for Dodmerb, one would say "Application under Dodmerb review" and the other 2 still say "in process"? Wouldn't Dodmerb post the same info for all 3 apps?

When you say app, do you mean app to each service academy? If so, each service academy has different health standards. West Point, for example, requires their applicant to distinguish vivid red/vivid green, meaning they can fail the colorblind test as long as if they can distinguish a red sign from a green sign. The Naval Academy, on the other hand, would automatically disqualify an applicant if they had any color blindness.

Ok, makes sense then that Dodmerb is reviewing same med exams for different and specific standards for each academy. Thanks for clearing that up!

You're quite welcome. Hope you the best of luck in your admissions process.

Hmm, I finished a DoDMERB exam that was supposedly for ROTC. I'm assuming it'll apply for any Service Academy too right?
