Hello all!

I just received an e-mail reminding me to follow up with my instructors for evaluations and get my Final 8th semester grades from high school in. Has anyone else received this e-mail - is it just a form letter? I am going into my senior year of high school and thus have no grades to report, and wanted to make sure this note was meant specifically for me before I follow up with it.

It could be that you received this email in error. I'd suggest following up with your teachers on the recs. Perhaps you could send a note to Admissions via your portal letting them know you received the email and that you don't have 7th and 8th semester grades yet.

Please don't hesitate to contact admissions. It's their job to help you.
 
Let me echo ScoutPilot's advice:

- contact admissions
- contact your regional admissions rep
- contact your field force rep

They all have access to your file, and know the USMA official answer.

My son found that the "Contact Us" link on the candidate page was easy to use, and almost always received a timely reply.

His field force rep and regional admissions rep also provided timely responses to his or my questions via email.

Don't rely on second hand info which might be seriously out of date. A mistake in your application due to the wrong information won't help you too much in getting that appointment.

The same goes for getting that nomination. Each congressman/senator has his/her own process for a nomination. Follow it to the letter, and if you have questions, follow up with their office. They will likely have a service academy coordinator who will provide you with an answer.
