So my MALO has told me i have a very good chance of receiving an LOA to west point. He was notified by admissions on July 28. I was wondering, is it true that west point notifies a candidate's MOC of an LOA before notifying the candidate? and also, how long on average does it take for west point to process transcripts and decide on LOA status or how often does the admissions committee meet? I am really anxious about this topic and have been checking my mail everyday since then because i really want to go to West Point and i believe i have what it takes to make it there.....
Thanks

You really want to go to USNA and USAFA as well?:shake:
ive always wanted to fly so thats why navy and AF are there. its just a signature an the order does not mean anything. Ive just been hearing a lot about the benefits of the Army AFTER graduation from college and so i am trying to get my priorities straightened out. but ya haha, i have AFA and Navy in as well because I am trying to keep my options open.

I did not receive any notifications of an LOA before I received it.

Thunderbird: if you get an LOA your MOC will know about it...my son showed up for his interview w/ a copy of it for them...they said "we already know about that."

For these early LOAs your MOC may not even know about you yet. I got my LOA two weeks ago and the MOC was not notified. However, the local Congressional District Coordinator (Retired West Pointer) who works for Admissions did receive a copy of my LOA. He might have notified yhe MOC.

My Son's MALO/Congressional District Coordinators was CC'd on his LOA. (It's on the bottom of the letter)

From the candidates I've heard from who received LOA's, I got the copy in the mail the day before they did as a MALO. However, I could see it several days earlier (as soon as it was approved) if I happened to be looking at their file online.
