Presidential Nomination

I encourage you to apply for all of the other nominations. The reason is that the Academies are limited by statute as to the numbers of Presidential Nominations that can receive appointments. Someone help me out here, is it 100 per year per academy? Anyway there is a limit (not on the nomination, but on the appointment). Remember it is a two step process. A nomination, puts you in the fish barrel, and an appointment, which means that you are offered a seat. A nomination does not guarantee an appointment. However, you need the nomination to get the appointment.

Yes, I think you're right about how the academies appoint 100 from the Presidential Nomination pool. I plan to apply for all other Congressional nominations, as well. I just couldn't find the address of West Point Admissions (even though it was right under my nose haha)
