I am planning on taking my CFA later this week. I have taken a practice CFA and just wanted to have some opinions on if I will pass or fail based on these previous scores.

My practice CFA and projected scores are...

Basketball 69ft
Pullups 15
Shuttle 8.1
Situps 80
Pushups 63
Mile 6:50

Any input is appreciated! Thanks!

Seriously dude? Those are all above average except the mile, which is pretty close. You can't fail when you're above average...

Yo people why don't you be mature about the situation. No one wants to hear you fighting and arguing. The person at the top said the scores were above average and sufficient.

I don't understand how beating the average can result in a failing test. Especially on the basketball throw.

Well seems like midshipmen hijacked the thread.

It's ok guys. Really. Feel free to completely demoralize some 17 year old kid trying to get into an academy for a few laughs. It isn't like the decision to attend a service academy is a serious one. It is not going to affect the next 10 years(at least) of this kid's life. You two are joking around with candidates who are asking to put their lives on the line for our country. As a favor to those of us who seriously use this forum to gain insight in the admissions process and life at West Point, please post constructively or do not post at all. You would think that they would teach puddle pirates decency.

Oh, and I can't wait until scoutpilot gets here. I'm already heating up the popcorn :shake:

To be honest, I have a feeling they are the same person, and that person is a troller.

I just want to know what I need to pass. If the scores are above average then I should pass, right?

HHS2011:

yeah, your CFA scores should be good. as long as you are close to the average in all of them and dont outright bomb any of the events, you should pass.

HHS2011 - your scores look pretty good. Most people shoot for the average, and you are above it so don't worry!

There, your question has been answered more than once. Ignore the banter and sarcasm of the bored cadets who have nothing better to do than showcase their underdeveloped humor towards a concerned applicant "posting on an internet forum looking for approval."

Apparently Midshipmen also lack situational awareness. AKH will not like being called sir.

Not an expert here, just an involved Dad. But it appears to me that the question needs to be: "Can I improve these further?".

Just from input & dialog with admissions types, if you have a solid & confirmed history of athletics a "just passing" CFA may be OK. You give up the option to increase your whole candidate score by improving it, but it should not keep you out.

If you do not have that solid history of athletics, they look more to the CFA to see how fit & capable you are. And certain areas like situps, pushups, and mile seem to weigh more heavily in that decision. Below average scores in these areas could be subject of concern.

If you are my son/daughter, I'd suggest trying to get the mile under the average time, and work on maxing the situps & pushups before giving up.

You pass but its probably a good idea to improve some of your events, especially running - you run a lot during Beast and much of the stuff you do tests your endurance (I learned that the hard way)
