Hi everyone,
I'm Jo and I actually come from the British system. However, I am an American citizen and am really interested in the high school AFROTC scholarships.
I have only recently discovered this forum but think that it offers great advice and decided to register straight away.

I'm sure I'll hear more from you guys,

Basically, if you're interested in going to college, and you're interested in having it paid with an AFROTC scholarship, and you're interested in serving in the Air Force as a commissioned officer, then that is what you need to look at.

Basically, you apply to colleges/universities for admittance. IF, that college/university has an AFROTC program, you can apply for an AFROTC scholarship. Not all colleges/universities have AFROTC. Therefor, you wouldn't get an AFROTC scholarship to go there.

Also, AFROTC, or any ROTC scholarship, is also very competitive. So if you're truly serious about ROTC and becoming a commissioned officer, research the schools you're interested in. Make sure they have an AFROTC program. Contact your ALO; just like if you were applying to the academy; and they will help you with the process. I've already sent in the bulk of my application but the mail is taking forever to arrive. I just need to complete my PFA now.
You mention an ALO. I checked the website but I don't think there are any in my area. Remember, I live in the UK. Do I definitely need to have an ALO?

Well, I can't be 100%, but the ALO's here also do the interview and such for AFROTC also. Matter of fact, on the AFROTC website, there's even a link to "Find your AFROTC Rep". However, being in Europe, that could indeed be a little difficult considering it only lists the 50 states and Puerto Rico. You should try emailing. They have a section:

Are you applying to the USAFA?

If you are, YES we have ALO's in the USAFE region (US Air Forces Europe).
