NROTC News?

Has any body heard any news about the NROTC boards, decisions, and everything else?

Are we just waiting on FY 2011 (whenever that starts, I forget if it's October or November) or are there other factors.

Any new news?

My senior finished the NROTC NO package in early Aug. Nada, nil, zip, nothing yet. It is my understanding the NO applicants are looked at with everyone else. The expectation is we will hear along with all other applicants, whenever that may be.

Same, I had my stuff in by mid July, and I still haven't heard anything. My schol. coord. told me I wouldn't hear back until probably January, regardless of what board I make, but Ijust wanted to know if anyone else heard anything new.

My coordinator in Las Vegas wanted my packet in by April so that I could be "early", but it seems nobody has received any news on their 2011 applications.

I am in the same boat as all of you, my son too has a package, well three pending, I am been in the navy a few years 19 or so and I called and spoke to the director, works like this. The Navy has two boards a month starting in Aug. they review the packages and they dont really contact you per say right then. The quickest way to get the results is to log on and look at application status with SSN and B-day. What I have been told is it will say one of three things. 1) Selected meaning you got picked up 2)Pending meaning good packages you are still in the running and they will review it again in two weeks. 3) Non-Selected you did not get picked up.
Army has three big boards first one is Oct. Air Force I am still figuring out. Good Luck to you all and I hope this helps.

I remember somebody saying that there was a board meeting this week. Has anybody got confirmation of that?
