I am having difficulty finding an institution that offers the flexibility of taking a single class (calculus for this matter) for college credit. Does such a program even exist? Or is there something else I could do?
You see, just last week I was contacted by a BGO who told me that USNA had accepted me as an official candidate. When I expressed my surprise (for I had not contacted anyone at USNA), he clarified that USNA and NROTC share information, particularly NROTC applicants. LT Lomax told me that USNA had reviewed my 2011 NROTC application and that they had made me an official candidate (I guess I qualified in some ways). He says I should have received an Official Candidacy packet, but I did not receive it because the supposed packet was sent to my old address across the country.
Anyways, aside from the nomination and the sending of transcripts and SAT scores that I am working on, I still need a calculus credit under my belt. This puts me in a bit of a pickle because I am a 2010 high school graduate, and I do not know where I could take a calculus class to pick up a single college credit.
If anybody has an answer for me, or if my story seems a little fishy (I am still surprised), please reply. I do not plan to miss this chance, so I would like to do my best to fulfill the requirements.
Thank you for your time.
