Need ideas of what is appropriate and needed by mids. DS has asked for nothing. Strange new twist. I did find a black and white artist print of "Mother B" today at a craft festival-go figure in NC no less. We have ones of our civilian alma maters didn't think they would have one of USNA but ---great find.

Firearms make delightful gifts.

Except they are a pain in the rear to store if you live on a base, even more so, in the aftermath of Ft Hood. But agree, most military people would enjoy a nice firearm. (Maybe store it at home until graduation).

Other favorites I can think of: a nice watch, nice camera, cash, snowboard/ski eqpt, etc etc

Indeed. Definitely worth leaving at home.

A Kindle would be nice (and tell Pima I would love one from Santa as well...) :thumb:

Speaking as a USMA cadet, does USNA have a cadet snack place that sells gift cards? If not, a gift card to somewhere that delivers is good.

Can you guys use a kindle for your English books etc---or just for entertainment-nice idea!
