JROTC Nomination

I had a question regarding the JROTC application for a nomination to USAFA. I have looked on the admissions website, but have found no link to a form so far. Does anyone know where I could go to get this?

This is my first year of working with a candidate that is going for a nomination in this route so bear with my comments; and anyone with more info, PLEASE, join in!

I spoke with the AFA folks yesterday as my candidate called me to ask pretty much what you asked. Your unit must have been designated an "Honor or Distinguished" (might be the same, I heard two counselors use both words) unit. If they have been then your SASI should have the requisite information (how to apply, etc.) on the nomination process. It's in the AFI that governs JrROTC.

They told me that there are an unlimited number of nominations for JrROTC BUT BUT BUT...there are ONLY 20 appointments for ALL JrROTC cadets; and that includes all the services' JrROTC's. So it's a VERY small pool of appointees.

But do NOT let that dissuade you!!!

You should strive for every nomination you are eligible for!!!
