Sure it does. Your new SAT is now a 620 M and a 630 CR, since West Point superscores.

Is it enough? I don't know - you need to address that question to your MALO or admissions officer.

My advice - FWIW - schedule the ACT and schedule another SAT.
Study the Math especially and see if you can get that up. Additional testing does not hurt your record.

The scores (SAT and GPA) are competitive and class rank sounds good, what city/state are you from?

I am from WA-01, no LOA or anything which is worrying me, although I know that the LOA is not the ultimate goal! It'd be nice though...

To my understanding, you need to have at least high 600s if not 700s in all three sections of the SAT to be considered for an LOA. Unless your other credentials are phenomenal however.

Hey there, sorry to steal the thread but I need some SAT help.

Which SATs do West Point look at? Is it the Reasoning or the subject tests?

I was wondering because I'm setting up some tests with my guidance counselor for next month. Thanks!

Reasoning. That will be Math, Literature, and Writing.

Most schools don't ask for Subject test at all. They test knowledge on certain subjects (Us History, Wrld Hist, Chemistry, certain languages, etc. )

Only one school I am applying for even asks about subject test.

GOOD LUCK!!:thumb:

Thanks.

I didn't want to take the wrong test. Especially with SLS opening next month.

The SAT Reasoning Test tests reading/english skills, not your knowledge of literature. SLS really only looks at your PSAT scores because that's normally the only thing the majority of juniors have taken yet, so its easier to look at all the applicants and determine a cutoff score.
