I am a USCGA, NROTC, and AFROTC applicant/hopeful.

I screwed up big time- my USAFA application is pointless, because I did not complete the Congressional nomination forms in the deadline. But you live and learn...

I hope to attend Georgia Tech (Institute of Technology, for the unwashed ) or cross-town to SPSU, where I can transfer and earn my Bachelor's from GT after two years.

I'm a cadet in AFJROTC and Civil Air Patrol, and a former NJROTC cadet. Any questions?

Sorry to hear about your congressional nomination. Did you try to call them and ask if they would still accept packets? My district was still accepting packets up to three weeks after the deadline. What about senator noms or JROTC noms?

I could go the JROTC route, as my unit was awarded the proper deal and all. I've asked a lot of my instructors already, though... USAFA is not quite my dream. AFROTC is merely a backup. (Dad is retired USAFA grad Lt Col).

I'm more of a Navy/Coast Guard type of guy. If I really want to do an academy after I do my first year of college, I'll apply for the transfer- FYI, Jimmy Carter went to GT for a year then transferred to USNA!
