I received a letter that says I have a guaranteed offer of appointment if I have a nomination by March 1.

I was wondering if this is a letter of assurance??? :shake::shake:

thanks for the quick reply!! this has to be the best day of 2010..it is also my sister's birthday today!! :D

Well, even tho it may not be totally normal, at least at your age ...and I love mine too ...I've never perceived her birthday as one of my better days!

I totally get what Whistle Pig is saying. My sister and I have a great relationship, and apparently that is a rarity because so many people are surprised to hear that I am very excited when she visits (she lives about 2 hours away from me).

date of your letter...

You have three - all in the 2015 group?

Well, that's one way to save money for college tuition - send 'em all of to a service academy. I can see you're an equal opportunity distributor or your children, too ... USNA, USCGA, USMMA. You even married a grad! Combine that with your adulation for Larry Mullen and I think you're a border line starker/groupie. :)

Just kidding! You should be justifiably proud. It sounds as if you have a great group of kids.

Thank YOU!

Hi, I do have a great of kids, but only 3 in total and my youngest is only 12. The 2015 applicant is our middle daughter. She will have some decisions to make coming up soon. Our son is at USNA, and yes hubby is a grad. We live in MD...makes visiting and cheering for Navy easy! Have a wonderful Holiday and New Year. Oh, and Larry Mullen is amazing, he is truly the DODMERB red tape buster! Our son needed a waiver for USNA and he was very helpful in getting all of our ducks in a row. :thumb:

Memphian Memphis! Your merited kudos to afternoonlutton strike me as the pot calling the kettle black! Might I recall one USNA alum with twice the twin son ...watching a rising Severn sun ...while doing a PRT run????

Congrats and kudos to boaf of those lads ...and boaf of these rightfully proud parents. What a comfort knowing that while our Caesar seems to be watching Rome burn, we've got young men and women like yours thumbing their patriotic schnozs at the notion that our nation merits no less than their best to defend and preserve her. Thanks to all!
