Please indulge me this open letter of gratitude to two complete strangers, Scott Toth of Clarkson Army and Adm Larry Mullen of DoDMERB, who continuously went above and beyond the call of duty to calm this anxious, confused mother and replied in the most timely manner to EVERY SINGLE ONE of my/our (many) questions/concerns.
Gentlemen - I am guessing you have probably cringed even seeing my sign on, knowing I was most likely ill-informed on yet another topic. If, by chance, you are reading this, please accept my sincerest gratitude for being the very best at what you do and treating me and my family with the greatest of customer care. You have been more help to us than any other resource, college battalions included, and are amazingly patient.
I must also offer an apology, for when scholarship offers went out after the first Board, and this family's confusion (code for 'my emails') hightened and the pestering became almost incoherent, I am sure you were annoyed. Please forgive me. You will note I have stayed away from the forum until today...!?
My family and I wish you the very happiest of new years, and know that we value your insight, assistance and concern beyond what we can express.

Totally Agree

I told my son yesterday how amazing Maj Toth is on this forum and he said, "Do you think he could get me a spot on the hockey team?" I had to admit I didn't think he was quite that amazing....

Adm Mullen has thousands of responses on the DoDMERB forum -so how many responses has he made we can't see?

Obviously these guys are amazing and such a help to all of us.

Allow me to echo this sentiment, both I and my DS thank the both of you for your help, patients, and understand throughout this journey we are on:thumb:

He called me on a Sunday afternoon to discuss DS's remedial and what to do to improve chances of passing. The man is amazing!

Thanks for the kind words...

Anxious, confused Moms are my specialty.

You, the applicants and parents who are making the committment to serve, deserve the real thanks and support. You are striving to be part of the "less than one percent" of Americans that wear the uniform. Pretty amazing!

Paradoxer...I know some folks associated with the Hockey team (our new equipment guy was one of my cadets a couple years ago). Since most of the Golden Knight players are 23 and Canadian I don't plan on having too many of them in the Battalion, but we have a cadet team, and I have plenty of pretty talented hockey players in the Battalion! If you son plays and wants to keep playing while attending school, we've got a spot for him. Just wish I could promise the scholarship to go with.

Sincere thanks from me too. I have read a lot here (posted almost zero), and have been able to assist my son through the very confusing process using what we read from ClarksonArmy and Larry Mullen.

Thanks again. :thumb:

Many thanks to both of you! I have read a lot here myself for many years and the information has been amazing! I lurk more than post but I have had correspondance with Mr. Mullen who is insanely speedy at responding and so helpful and efficient. It has been most appreciated! There is a lot of dedication that goes into helping so many and being available and taking the time year after year. Thank you again!
