Congratulations to EA 1 applicants who received BFE's, conditional appointments, as well as deferrals! Hang in there!

Any EA 2 applicants heard anything yet?

I've been stalking my mail lady everyday since mail resumed this year. I plan on giving her a present when I receive letters from USAFA and USCGA to apologize for the intense stalking. But, I'm dying to get my letter!

In case you didn't read the other thread, my DD was EA 2 and she did receive her appointment. I'm surprised I haven't seen any more responses from EA 2 yet.

Hang in there, January 15th isn't so far away. Best of luck! :thumb:

My DS is in EA2. He called his admissions officer last night and he was told that his application was in review. Since we are in California, we will probably be the last to get notified. With my DS out of town from the 14th to 16th, I will probably be looking at an envelope of some kind (BFE or *sniff* a standard envelope) all that weekend. Does anyone know if an offer for the Scholars program is in a BFE or a standard envelope?
Good luck to all!

This may be a silly question, but does it literally come in a "big fat envelope"? Because if so I'm officially only looking for fat mail. :)

BFE. Really!

Yes, an offer of appointment does indeed come in a "big fat envelope"! A U.S. Priority Mail envelope. Conditional appointments, deferrels, and (please, Lord, no!) no offer of any kind, come in regular business size envelopes.
Best of luck to all! I continue with my mantra..."if it is meant to be..."

EA2

No Word here today either -- It's going to be a looong weekend

I feel for y'all. Hang in there...news is coming. And while not all will get the BFE, take heart and know that your kiddo will end up where he/she is supposed to be. I am still in touch with some moms and dads (from this forum) whose kids ended up taking a different route than my 2013er. And the great news is...they are happy!

Take care....and I'll be pulling for each and every one of you.

Nothing in the mail today. Darn, I had a good feeling about today. :)

We will be releasing an e-mail this afternoon to approximately 100 EA Group Two applicants informing them that due to the severe weather which will impact (and possibly close) the Academy tomorrow, their notification letters will most likely not be mailed until Thursday or Friday. I'm sure it will be messaged much better than this short note, but I thought I'd let you all know.

Have some letters been sent already? Thank you for this update.
