Hey, nothing serious! Just kind of wondering where everyone in Colorado stands in the nomination process?! Does anyone know if we hear before the deadline?! I've heard of cadets getting calls on Christmas and what not?!

Nomination from Representative Coffman for the AFA!!

Received a letter dated 12/14 saying I've received a nomination to the Air Force Academy from Representative Coffman :thumb:

Sounds like next the AFA will select fom his list of nominees...So time for more breath holding :eek:
 
Ah good for you, and good to hear! I'm in Polis's district. I heard that region is sooooo competitive so GREAT for you! Anything from the Senators? I have an LOA to USAFA and USMMA and am just waiting on the edge of my seat! I HATE THE WAIT!

Still NOTHING! :eek: It really has me pulling my hair out now! I'm seeing all of these kids with there appointments and I'm just sitting here wondering! I'm in Polis's district. Where are you? If you don't mind sharing.

Hey guys, I just thought I'd give an update. I have received a nom from Jared Polis, and that's it thus far. However, there are two other students at my school and they both got noms as well, I think one was from Udall and the other from Benett.

Update. Nom to USMMA from Udall, no nom from Bennett. Good luck to those still waiting.

Nom from Udall too, feels good. Just waiting to hear on my LOA though. My process was sort of halted due to mix-up in the mail which led to me never receiving the information on my DoDMerb file.
 
Well recieving a nom from Udall to USAFA, is no small thing. Congratulations for doing that much, and I wish you the best of luck and look forward to seeing you on Iday. PM and keep me updated, it'll be nice to see another native get in!:biggrin:
 
My DD received a nomination from Coffman. She did not take the CFA seriously and turned in terrible numbers. She thought is was just something to complete and not something that had much weight. She attended Summer Seminar last summer and she got the impression from there that it didn't really matter. However, the AFA asked her to retake the CFA. She retook the CFA and did much better (now that she knew that is did matter!). Anyway, she had been contacted by Lt. Rudico at the AFA to hurry up and get her CFA in because the appointments were running out. That was about 3 weeks ago. I don't know what any of this means but it is just another data point.
 
Well from what I've seen on these forums, if you are asked to retake your CFA you are a desired candidate! With that being said I'm sure I will be seeing your DD on Iday!
