*Edit* Nevermind, I see now that it was "KBS Citizen: PLEASE FORWARD YOUR COMPLETED APPLICATION TO YOUR LOCAL AMERICAN LEGION POST (POST ADJUTANT) TO OBTAIN SPONSORSHIP AT LEAST ONE MONTH PRIOR. (and so on).

High Schools normally nominate and sponsor Boy's State applicants. Talk to your high school. If your high school doesn't nominate, then contact your LOCAL Legion and ask them.

My highschool never mentioned it, under "Name of Teacher/Coach/Guidance Counselour/Principal/other person nominating you for KBS 2011" I asked one of my teachers and she filled that piece out. That'd be fine, right? And then i send it to my local post?

Specifically ask your school. Ask your guidance counselor. like I said; most high schools nominate and sponsor the boy/girl's state program, along side the american legion. They don't normally MENTION it to anyone. They simply come up to you and ask you if you'd like to do it. In other words, they don't normally have you "Apply". They normally like to choose who THEY THINK is the outstanding person.

if you guidance office and school don't do the program, then continue with your process. And direct your questions to the local American Legion. This is not a Universal program. Each local State Legion runs it for their state.

Alright, Thanks for the help!

Yes, I got one of my teachers to nominate me.
I went to KBS last year, so let me know if you have any questions.
