I just went the goarmy site and i created an account. It now tells me to start the application. Should I do the initial applicant registration now, or should I start this later?

As a High School Junior (you are a Junior?)
Print out the application, start assembling the needed info on paper
start writing your essay and additional comments-

Don't start the application until you have your final junior year GPA and a ACT score.
You will get no points for being first to complete it.

I believe that the essay is the only 'new' information that can be judged by the Board, so write it well.
(My son was a mediocre/B+ candidate, but wrote a very powerful essay and was picked in the first board)

So do you recommend turning in a written application as opposed to the online application?
