The Coast Guard released its FY2012 budget, which still needs to be approved by Congress.

The budget-in-brief can be viewed here: http://www.uscg.mil/posturestatement/

Some notable objects are:
  • Decomissioning CGC Polar Sea to focus efforts on CGC Polar Star
  • Building of the fifth National Security Cutter
  • Design for the Offshore Patrol Cutter
  • Decomissioning of one 378' Cutter
  • Preparing for future marine environmental response
  • Decomissioning MSST Anchorage

Now we just have to hope it makes it through Congress...

Stupid remark...not funny.

Be kind. Scoutpilot's in the Army. Assuming he's typing one handed while he's counting, the highest he can count to is 5. I'm sure he wanted to say $5, but didn't want to max himself out on his first post. It's also obvious he used "row boat" after taking 4 years at West Point to memorize "row row row your boat.."

I applaud him. :thumb:

Give me some credit. I lost two fingers in a tail rotor incident!
