Hey everyone,

I will happen to be at the AFA this coming Saturday… My son has a JROTC Drill competition at Air Academy HS (He’s on the Sand Creek team)… And I was wondering if you’re still allowed to drive up and walk around the Chapel and such on your own anymore… I haven’t been up that way in years to be honest I don’t think I’ve been to that part of the AFA since my was son was born there…. Anyway I digress my girlfriend has never been so I figured while we’re there might as well kill two birds with one stone and do the tourist thing and I was wondering if you can still go up on your own or do you have to do the “official” tour thing?

Thanks! :thumb:

I was at te academy last Sunday for a wrestling dual, and wanted to show my brother around. Needless to say I had the same concerns, however we were able to look at all but the cadet wing!

Wrestling?!?! Shouldn’t you be in a ton of bubble wrap right now!!! Just kidding and thanks again Falcon…. That’s twice you’ve helped me out!

Boozebin you sound like my mom! And hey that's what the forums here for!

Have fun and good luck!

You can visit the visitor's center, chapel, and Clune arena, and drive around parts of base pretty easily. If you know any cadets, they could probably show your family around.

Thanks... was planning on visitor center and the chapel... didn't know I could hit the arena too... good info to have...

Other than the ones I've "met" through this forum I don't know any cadets... but think my son does... I'll hit him up and see if he has any... Thanks for the info Raimius.

Not sure if you will get this before it happens, but there is a noon meal formation today at 1155 hours. It is kind of cool to watch from the wall of the chapel if you have the time.

Sweet thanks Rage :thumb:.... I hope I can make that... it just depends on when his team is scheduled to compete if I can make it or not but watching a formation would be great... last time I was up there all we got to see were a few cadets walking around.
