While you are waiting for the mailman, you might be interested in viewing a television show that featured the Coast Guard in action. The program "Intersections" on the Speed channel recently featured Air Station Cape Cod and the Tahoe Ski Rescue Unit and how their missions produce an "intersection."

Featured in the program is Rear Admiral (lower half) Dan Abel, a 1983 USCGA graduate in civil engineering (with high honors), who, at the time of the filming, was the Commanding Officer of the station. Also featured is HH-60 Jayhawk pilot LT. Catherine Gross, and Petty Officer 1st Class Travis McGregor.

A clip can be viewed on-line here: http://www.mefeedia.com/tv/32913385

The full-length program can also be viewed on-line here: http://www.mefeedia.com/tv/32574617

Anyone else notice they interchangeably called him a petty officer and a Lieutenant.

Yea, they crew doing the titles on screen got it right but the voice over guy got it wrong. Can be confusing for civilian film crews. Liked they way they spent extra time highlighting the Jayhawk specs.

That's what MOPIC is for...
