Hey everybody
I noticed you all usually give pretty good reviews and advice for people who want to know if they're going to get into their school of choice, so I'm asking you all.
I have a 3.5 GPA, an 1830 SAT (1250 w/o writing), I'm in the top 1/5 of my class (we don't rank, just my counselor's estimate).
I'm a junior entering my second year as a starting Varsity pitcher, I lift weights 3x/week and run whenever I'm not lifting.
I coach kids during the summer, I've sold wine, and I just recently got an interview with a larger summer camp. I've done church work freshman and a little into sophomore year.
I've got a pretty challenging schedule, one AP last year, four this year, and I've got three scheduled for my senior year. I just recently did an overnight at VMI, asked for more info, and got acquainted with the Biology professor and the baseball coach, and I've reached out in every way that I thought I could.
I plan on taking the SAT again, I'm still working on bringing my GPA up, and I've had a steady increase in GPA/year.
I know this post is a sort of list, but I typed information as it came to me, and I would greatly appreciate it if any of you all gave me some help.

Your good dude just write a good essay for your application on why VMI is important to you but your resume you said right there is a deff good

I don't think you have to write an essay, well I didn't have to write one.

I'd say you even have a good shot at West Point

Are you currently a Cadet at VMI? Or are you going to matriculate next summer or what?
Whatever the case, could you shoot me a message on your grades and what you've seen or what you expect to see as a Rat.

As for the West Point statement, thanks a ton, but I'm dead set on joining the Marines.
Much respect to you on your appointment.

I'm a freshmen at VMI. Got in with a 1140 SAT (math and reading), and a 3.6 WEIGHTED high school gpa. 0 community service. 2 years of varsity xc and track. thats it. oh and also I did go for an interview. But ya like some guy said with your resume it looks like you'd have a shot at USMA so I'm 100% sure you will get into VMI if not get a 4 year marine scholarship (which my room mate has at the moment)
