Lacrosse season starts tomorrow. I have an appointment and I want to play, but I don't know if it is worth the risk of injury. I don't plan on playing lacrosse for Army. Has anyone been through anything similar? Thanks for any advice you might have.
I'm still waiting on a waiver for a injury from playing soccer during my junior year (i'm a goalkeeper too, but was playing in the field when i got injured), but it hasn't kept me from continuing soccer, basketball and baseball for my senior year. injuries happen and i guess the bubble wrap might prevent them, but I'd rather risk possibly getting an injury than having to look back at my senior year and regret not having played. (and really, what are the odds i'll get hit squarely on the ear and pop my eardrum again? lol)I'm not playing lacrosse like you guys but I plan to keep playing with my club for soccer this spring. I think the benefits of getting some conditioning and training in that is in a fun environment as well as doing something I really enjoy and find worthwhile are worth it...I just don't plan on getting kicked in the face again any time soon (I'm a goalkeeper)

yeah, it's always those annoying forwards who just don't know when to stop, even after the ball's in your hands. Even though I usually come out way ahead of the other guy in those collisions, i've still had my fair share of dislocated/hyperextended fingers.Ouch, yea I've had some problems with my hands the past year or two due to some bad challenges from some forwards, but I know how to take care of myself. I know this past fall season with my school team was one of the best experiences through out high school for me even if we just barely missed out on the chance to win the state tourney all together. My club team is fun and pushes you hard. I don't want to miss out on something because I'm thinking about what might happen. Its the stupid stunts like sledding off your roof or things similar that you should be looking to limit
