How much weight does the CFA carry? Obviously if its part of the admissions process it carries weight but how much will it affect my WPS?
These are my scores:
Throw: 74ft
Pullups: max
Shuttle:8.3
Situps:max
Pushups:74
Run: 5:59

I'd wait for someone like WhistlePig to reply, but if everything else is as strong as your CFA, you've got nothing to worry about. Excellent job.

IMHO I believe my grades and extracurriculars are along the same lines wih my CFA, but we'll have to wait and see.

CFA is generally pass/fail. You can get "bonus" points for doing very well in certain elements much like you get for being a team captain, Eagle Scout or the myriad of other things. The OP's scores are excellent -- no worries.

Just to give you some perspective. Both my sons are tall (6'4") skinny kids. They were excellent baseball players (pitchers), but they have very little upper body strength. I think one of them only did TWO pull-ups.

They BOTH got LOA's and are in their 2nd year of the Academy and doing fine. Fortunately, pull-ups are not part of the PRT.

Is it still possible to get an appointment to the academy without completely passing the cfa? These are my (best) scores because I took it twice (once with the flu...)
Shuttle: 8.3
Sit-ups: 45
Push ups: 45
Pull ups: 9
Mile: 5:40
Throw: 55

The problem is that I'm not officially passing for sit ups I think, and these were also over two tests - when I took it the second time it was my last chance, and I still had the flu so my mile time went up to 6:47, however I did somehow drastically improve on push ups... Do i still have any chance and will they look at my first test and see I can run a 5:40? I have a strong app and went on a weekend visit, im just really really worried this will sink me.

CFA Score

Statistically speaking, the CFA counts for 10% of your application. And you did really well on your CFA! Your scores are awesome! Based on these scores, you sound like an athlete- you should be good.

Not to overwhelm anyone but would love some feedback on mine as well. (I'm a girl)
I took it twice(I recevied orders to from USAFA and sent the re-test to USNA as well as the first one)

1st go:
Pushups- 16
Mile Run- 7:17
Situps- 81
FAH(no pullup)- 13 seconds
Throw- 54 ft
Shuttle- 10.0

2nd go(5 weeks later):
Pushups- 28
Mile run- 7:32
Situps- 89
FAH(no pullup)- 11 seconds
Throw- 52 ft
Shuttle- 9.5

For better or worse, USNA doesn't publish its "passing" standards, even to BGOs. Based on experience and averages (in a sticky above), we can provide general guidance on what USNA "expects." But that's about it.

The only one who can tell you if you passed is your RD. As a general rule, if you aren't told to retake it, you can assume you passed. Passing doesn't mean you did well, it means you passed. A low score can hurt your admissions chances just as a high score can help. However, if you are an otherwise very strong or very weak candidate, the CFA is unlikely to make a huge difference in the outcome. It could make the difference if other things are generally equal.

I've not heard that it counts "10%."

My guess is that the issue is/was your FAH and possibly your pushups. They will be concerned re upper body strength. As noted above, can't tell you whether it's passing -- and USAFA and USNA may well have different standards.

For women in future years, the FAH is half physical and half mental. I went from 18 secs to over a minute (max) -- we didn't do PUs in my day. You get a bar, stand on a stool, and hold yourself up as long as you can. Do it every single day and you'll improve. As you improve, you get more mentally tough about doing it, which also helps.

Finally, today the SAs really expect women to do at least one PU. (Times have changed in the last 30 yrs). There are lots of threads on this site about how to improve in that category so I won't repeat them here.

while we're putting CFA scores out there...i'm also a little concerned that i failed situps and it's too late to retake it...are there any BGOs or midshipmen out there who's seen these scores pass? (I'm a girl)

BBall throw: 45 feet
Pullups: 5
Shuttle: 9sec
Situps: 57
Pushups: 42
Mile: 6:40
