http://linensupplier.com/ I struggled to find XL twin flat sheets last year when he went to camp. Its almost impossible without buying a whole set. Not sure of the quality, but after the frustration of not finding what DS needed for camp and looking over the packing list for Rat year, this may be a good option for some of you so I thought I would share it.

Good catch bjkuds: It is really a pain trying to buy the XL flat sheets without also buying the fitted sheets as well (the fitted sheets are not allowed and unless you have a very unusual collection of furniture at home- they are destined for the rag bag as soon as you get them out of the package!). This is a pretty common complaint - so this web site might save you a whole bunch of irritation and part of the proceeds apparently goes to the Office of Cadet Life which is responsible for a host of barracks programs so it's a good cause as well.
BTW- quality of sheets at VMI is definitely not an issue- the thread count could be 10- it's going on top of a cot and will be rolled up into a tight "burrito"shape every morning and won't come down again until 2330 every night and the things that the Laundry does to them is too harsh to describe in a public forum:eek: And yet - unless you are an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer- your "hay" and your comforter rapidly become your two most beloved possessions!

I sure don't mean for this to be a commercial, but when I found the XL twin flat sheets (sold separately from the fitted ones) at Target last year I sure was thankful. But, I had to hit 3 different Target stores in one day to come up with the 6 XL twin flat sheets on VMI's packing list. There were plenty of XL twin fitted sheets on the shelves, but the flats sold out very quickly.

That is where I found the last single one on the shelf too. It's a drive for us to get to a real shopping plaza. Although I don't like to buy without seeing, according to Bruno..it won't matter. Now if I could just figure out how to find sneakers that he won't destroy

I play tennis and the shoes I used were regular running shoes and they got to the point where they were unusable very fast. I then bought shoes specifically designed for the wear and tear a tennis court can do to ones shoes so I am pretty sure that they would last a while off the tennis courts as well. Specifically the addidas barricade.

Thanks for the tip. He destroys sneakers quickly. Not sure if he is landing funny when he runs or what but he blows the sides out..sometimes in a matter of weeks. With him only able to take 2 pair, I want them to last. I have time to get a trial pair now and see if they hold up with the running before fall.
