10 AFA cadets await fate in Spice probe

I wonder why it doesn't seem to be a big issue at USMA?

I feel exactly the same here, as I do for the mids in the same situation in the Navy. I'll even repost my same exact comment. (Because I feel the same exact way for air force).

cadets/mids are suppose to be "America's Finest". I can't imagine "Ignorance" is involved here. I guess it's good that the "Stupid" ones get weeded out before they're in a position of affecting other's lives.

Because when they were told "Spice" could get you high, most of them were confused and got caught smoking "Cinnamon Sticks". DOH!!!!

Sorry; just some inter-service jabbing. :thumb:

You could have said the same thing about USAFA three days ago. I feel this will hit all the Academies before all is said and done.

I wonder how prevalent spice is on civilian campuses.

Is it cheaper? If Spice sets them back fewer ramen noodle packs, they may go for it.
I'm happy to reveal that I haven't priced either....recently.
I thought the only advantages of Spice were that it is legal (in some states....NOT the military) and that it didn't show up on a drug test. Not being an expert....I could be wrong.

I have a simple view on this...if all 33 being investigated are found to have used spice...

Luckily the DEA has now banned Spice so it is no longer legal in any state. It can be tested, but it's expensive and rarely done, for now.

I would imagine the rate of Spice use on civilian campuses is higher than that for marijuana, but below that of alcohol use by minors.
