I have been taking AP BC Cal for the this school year (we are on year long classes that meet every other day). However, I have struggled with the class (had a 84 last semester) and I currently sit on a 74 (we only had 2 tests and there is still time to pull it up). If I do end up with a C, will that kill my chances for an appointment?

I did score a 35 on the math section of the ACT and will be taking it again.
Last year I left Pre-Cal with a 92 and had always made A's in math before that.
I really should have taken AB Cal instead.
I am in all IB classes.

I realize there is still time, but it seems like the best I can do is to try to pass the AP exam and get a B.

If you are a 2015 Candidate/appointee, you need to pass the class to retain your appointment.

If you are applying for the Class of 2016, you still need to pass the class; however, the fact that you took a more difficult class but did not do as well as you would have if you were in a regular Calc class, will not be held against you. Receiving an an A/A+ in a regular class is not necessarily as impressive as working through a tough AP class.
