DoDMERB Status Changed!

Son's DoDMERB status changed last night. He was already qualified for one of the academies, but now they have added US Army ROTC as a new agency, and it indicates "under DoDMERB Review." I recall that for prior boards folks have posted that the DoDMERB change was the first indication of good news, so we are hopeful! (He was only looked at by the March 8th board, so maybe news is coming...)

I'd take it as encouraging, but don't spend the college fund yet. Also, a lot of feedback is pointing to most of March board offers being 3 year. But, hey, it still could be great news coming next week(unless they change their minds about the dates, again....:rolleyes:)
 
Great news! That is how we found out about DS. In January I saw AROTC on his dodmerb as qualified, then in late February is when his status changed online!

That sounds promising. Our son had been qualified for USAFA and then received confirmation of an AFROTC scholarship. Shortly after that we received a new mailing from DoDMERB that listed both USAFA and AFROTC as qualified. I would think that would mean good news for you son.

My DS's status changed back in November after the first board met, we thought that meant something, but here we are waiting for the results of the March 8th board. I hope for all of us this ride comes to a merciful end with the prize in hand that we have all been waiting for:thumb:
 
My DODMERB status changed a few days after the Jan 4th board to indicate AROTC, and I received the offer in Feb
