I'm confused:confused:

Do the cadets have 2 different accounts (the one we send the $2,000 for and the other that we set up for direct deposits)?

Thanks for the help!

Yes - two different accounts

Two accounts. One is the cadet account with the Treasurer where you deposit your $2k. The majority of cadet pay goes to this account to cover all expenses (computer, uniforms, haircuts, etc.). The personal checking account is where their $175/month goes (via direct depost). We went with USAA on this one. Just called them up and told them that our son would be a cadet in the fall. He's all set. Did it all from home.

That helps! Thanks for the clarification.

We went with USAA too.

Total Pay

What is the total monthly pay for a Cadet - I have heard $850 and $900

The total pay is $961.00 a month. How much you see of that depends on your class year, Plebes only see $225 of it.

It goes to covering all the costs of the issued uniforms, laptop, and other gear from my understanding

I'm confused to what I am supposed to do. I just printed out the "Direct Deposit Sign-Up Form" from the accepted applicants PDF file, and I am thinking about opening up my checking account with USAA. However, since there is no physical USAA building in which I can have a representative fill out the Financial Institute part of the Direct Deposit form, what am I supposed to do?

My DS called to open an account, and they had the form and faxed it
to us all filled out, so all he had to do is sign it. I'm sure if you don't have a fax they can email it to you.

When my DS did this, he used USAA, we have no FAX, so they uploaded it to his online bank account and he securely downloaded it from there. Fast, no problems.
