Hi! My son accepted his NROTC transfer by email on Friday but has not received any sort of confirmation email. He is nervous because he has 3 business days to accept. Is there even a confirmation email?

I'd also like to know about this. I accepted an NROTC scholarship transfer Friday, and asked for some sort of confirmation, but still haven't heard anything. Our 3 days is up tomorrow, and if something went wrong, I'd really like to know. I'm assuming Ms. Parker is incredibly busy, and probably doesn't have the time to send confirmation emails; I just hope this assumption is correct! Any insight on this matter is greatly appreciated.

Fax a copy today and also email a copy today to the ROTC PMS/ROO and ask them to confirm that it was received.

Yes they still uses FAX's

Yep, that's what we thought - fax a response and check with school. You hate to be paranoid but......

Did that w/DS, PMS was VERY glad to know what was going on, he said he could check "in the system" and see when status was updated to 'accepted'. Emailed us when status updated, was the start of several very positive back-and-forths between DS and his new unit's PMS.

My son sent an email accepting his wait list position yesterday. We received an "Out of Office Standardized Email Reply" from Ms. Parker, which said, in part:

*If I have offered you a position and you have replied back accepting the open position, please allow me a few days before confirming reciept. I was lucky enough to offer alot of positions off the waitlist and will sort through them all accordingly. You will also receive a confirmation letter in the next few weeks.

She was not out of the office yesterday, but I did talk to her on the phone and she is overwhelmed by emails. We are going to also fax the acceptance today. If we save both the dated email and a dated fax, I think we will be fine if a problem occurs. Probably a good idea to call Pensacola or the unit by the end of the week to see if the unit assignment has changed in their system. Actually, our regional NROTC recruiter in Richmond, VA, whom we called about a different issue, told us today that the unit was not yet changed. So, your regional NROTC recruiter could be another avenue for information, if you know who that person is.

Very helpful. Figured there was no way she could juggle continuing to sort out transfers and confirm them all, etc.

Got my confirmation email today! Checked the status online and it is now updated as well. I'm excited to have this process over with and am looking forward to Arizona State University NROTC next year! Thank you very much to all the people in Pensacola for their hard work and a special thanks to Ms. Parker for all her help!

My son did too...talked to Va Tech and they have him as well...can't believe we're finally here!

Got our confirmation email today about NROTC transfer to USC. (Trojans, that is, not Gamecocks, although he loves both!). My son is so relieved and excited. He can't stop talking about it.
