May 1, 2011 is the last day that people with Appointments can accept/reject their Appointments. History would indicate that a few people will decline their appointments before that date. If they have not responded with an acceptance by May 1, their Appointment is automatically voided. Each declination normally opens a slot that is quickly filled from the National Waiting List.
However, if West Point extended more Appointments than the intended class size (anticipating that some people would decline) then no new slots would open unless the declination rate was exceptionally high (in fact, the acceptance rate is very high).
In any case the Class of 2015 is probably 99% set but there are always a very few "last minute" assignments.
With a VERY FEW exceptions, the class will be filled within the next two weeks.
